Gustav Zumsteg established the foundation in 1985 in order to provide long-term support for projects and initiatives in the fields of fine art, gastronomy and textile production.
The foundation’s charitable activities
The foundation’s charitable work focuses on the following areas:
- Supporting the work of Zurich’s Kunsthaus museum in the field of contemporary art
- Sponsoring and supporting young Swiss artists and other creative individuals, as well as their educational and research institutions
- Sponsoring and supporting the training of talented young people interested in hospitality management
- Supporting innovation in the field of textile production
Requests for funding
Please send us your application, together with all pertinent documentation, either by postal mail or e-mail. The business office will review and evaluate the submitted documents. If your application is consistent with the foundation’s purpose and our sponsorship strategy, it will be submitted to the foundation board for a final determination. You will then be notified of the decision in writing. The foundation board generally meets every three to four months.
